Einbrecher in der Wohnung – was im TV-„Tatort“ für wohligen Grusel sorgt, ist in der Realität für die meisten Menschen eine Katastrophe. Der größte Schaden besteht dabei oft gar nicht im Verlust wertvoller Gegenstände, sondern darin, dass das Gefühl von Sicherheit in den eigenen vier Wänden abhanden kommt. „Jeder Fünfte will nach der Tat umziehen oder tut es auch. Da sieht man, was ein Einbruch mit Menschen macht“, sagt Kriminalhauptkommissar Georg von Strünck, der bei der Berliner Polizei die Abteilung Technische Prävention leitet.

Wirksamer Einbruchschutz

Allein die Gefahr, dass es einmal so weitkommen könnte, sollte Grund genug sein, potenziellen Einbrechern den Riegel vorzuschieben. Vor allem in der dunklen Jahreszeit lohnen sich Schutzmaßnahmen: Anders als die meisten glauben, geschehen drei Viertel aller Haus- und Wohnungseinbrüche in der Zeit zwischen Ende Oktober und Anfang März – und zwar tagsüber, wenn die Bewohner nicht zu Hause sind, weiß der Gesamtverband der Deutschen Versicherungswirtschaft (GDV).
